The Office of Innovative Technology will be performing upgrades to the campus VPN service at access.utk.edu on Wednesday, March 19th, beginning at 10:00 PM EDT and concluding on March 20 at 2:00 AM EDT. During this maintenance event, remote-access VPN services will be unavailable. Remote-access service should return to service without client-side changes after the conclusion of this event.
The updated VPN gateway will reliably support Pulse Secure Access client versions of 9.1 and later. To ensure support moving forward, OIT recommends users to upgrade their Pulse Secure Access client to the Ivanti Secure Access 22.x client. Instructions to upgrade or install the Ivanti Secure Access Client can be found at oit.utk.edu/software.
Security Service Change Requests submitted after 05:00PM EST on Friday, March 14 will be held until after the gateway upgrades and maintenance on March 19.
