Scheduled Maintenance

Banner Production Outage Dec 30, 2025 07:00-08:00 EST

OIT will be performing maintenance on the Banner System on Tuesday, December 30th between 7:00 AM and 8:00AM. During this time, Banner Admin Pages and Self-Service functionality, such as Registration, Faculty Grade Entry, Attendance Tracking, and Advising profile, will be unavailable.

In addition, access to the systems listed at http://tiny.utk.edu/banner-maintenance may also be impacted by this outage.

OIT network administrators are investigating the problem. The cause of the outage is believed to be a fiber issue. There is no ETA for return of service at this time. Technicians are working to return service as soon as possible.

Investigating - Network Services is investigating an issue with the core firewall that is causing an issue with the PCI network. There may be some brief traffic interruptions while Network Services troubleshoots in MOD1, MOD2, and Datacenter networks.

Resolved - Access to the ISAAC-ORI cluster has been restored.

Investigating - The ISAAC-ORI cluster is currently unavailable due to a power failure in
building 5100 at ORNL. Administrators will begin working to resolve the issue as
soon as power is restored. All other HPSC resources, including ISAAC-NG, the
Secure Enclave, and UT-StorR remain unaffected by this outage.
